My experience healing with cacao

During my time in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala in 2018 I had the pleasure of visiting the women's Cacao collective “Ruk’u’x Ulew” Heart of the Earth and seeing the process of harvesting cacao from bean-to-”block”. The rich smell of pure cacao being roasted on an open fire eased the pain of the blisters that were quickly forming on my thumbs and index fingers as I peeled each small bean.
